by The Tethered Hand has revealed the results of the seventh round of the Tessellation, so it’s once again time for us to break it down. This round was chock full o’ live drops, plus special media drops during the Perpetua Hexathlon, and a brand new delivery method we haven’t seen, along with the usual compliment of global drops.

Round 6 concluded in a pretty tight race between all three parties in the Tessellation challenge. The Enlightened had mounted a comeback from an earlier deficit, while Nemesis made a big move to become competitive, however the Resistance were hanging on to a small lead.
Round 7 Start: NEM 050 – ENL 058 – RES 063
During round 7, 15 tesserae were released between February 14 and March 2. This is the biggest round yet. There are still many tesserae left to discover. When originally announced, the tessellation was set to run through April, which either means we are headed for a major acceleration in tesserae, or this could extend into May.
Just as with all previous rounds, factions get points in two ways, discovery and placement.
For discovery, the faction that obtains each tessera and posts a screenshot in the relevant thread in the forums gets credit. Ordinarily discovery is worth 1 point, but can be worth more in the case of live drops or other special cases. In this round, the Resistance won 18 discovery points and the Enlightened won 6.
Discovery: ENL +06 – RES +18
For placement, if either faction predicts correctly, that faction gets 1 point. If neither faction predicts correctly, Nemesis gets 2 points. It seems that both factions are getting very good with making accurate predictions, so it typically becomes a race of who can post first. Though this round had one tessera that neither faction was able to predict accurately.
Placement: NEM +2 – ENL +6 – RES +8
So in this round the Resistance netted 26 points, to the Enlightened’s 12, while Nemesis gained 2. At the end of Round 7, the score was:

It’s still a very close game, and many points are still available for all 3 competitors in this challenge.
